Fishing Charter FAQ

Yes, you are responsible for obtaining the proper state of Florida fishing license prior to coming on our boat. This can be done online at https://myfwc.com/license/ or in person wherever Florida fishing licenses are sold.

We recommend comfortable, quick-drying, sun-protective clothing and non-slip shoes. Don't forget your hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen! A waterproof bag is also recommended to protect your personal belongings. We provide water but you are welcome to bring your own cooler with drinks and snacks.

Yes, children are always welcome! We love helping families make lasting memories on our trips. However, please note that children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

No, we never combine clients on trips. The boat is entirely yours for the full duration of your trip.

We ensure that every boat is clean and free of obstacles during your trip. We have life vests, a fire extinguisher, and first aid kit on board along with all other USCG required essentials. Additionally, all captains are USCG certified in life saver first aid and CPR.

For trips on the Osborne/Ida chain, there are a couple locations that provide restrooms. For Everglades and offshore trips, no restrooms are available.

We fish in the rain! Often times a rain shower can be the best time to be on the water. Rain signals a drop in barometric pressure which triggers a feeding response in fish of all species. Unless there is lightning in the area or other life threatening conditions, we will remain on the water. We encourage clients to push through rain showers as they often blow through quickly. As always, the safety of our clients is our top priority and no fish is worth risking life or injury.

We accept payment via cash, Zelle, or Venmo.

To secure your date, a $100 deposit is due upon scheduling and the remainder is due at the conclusion of your trip.  The $100 deposit is non-refundable. However, you are welcome to move your date if needed. In the event that the captain cancels your booking due to life threatening weather, or other various circumstances, your deposit will be refunded. The remainder is due at the conclusion of your trip.

Charter captains work in the service industry and our number one priority is to make sure our clients have an enjoyable experience. It is customary to tip twenty percent but is never required.

We welcome clients of every skill level from beginner to advanced. If this is your first time giving angling a try, just let us know and we will make sure to provide all trip-specific information and any recommended practice beforehand.

We provide all fishing gear on both freshwater and saltwater trips. You may bring your own gear and tackle with the approval of the captain prior to your trip. For questions about specific gear, techniques, etc., please give us a call.

Participants agree to use reasonable care while aboard the vessel. Anyone who intentionally, recklessly, or negligently damages the boat, fishing equipment, tackle, electronics, or other property may be held financially responsible for repair or replacement costs.
